Pinkertons is a newly opened bakery & caf in Kingston, NY. We are currently seeking a skilled individual to join our retail counter team as barista. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking individual with two years of customer service experience, and minimum one year barista experience in a food-based establishment. Bakery, caf, and/or restaurant experience is required. The knowledge of and the ability to create latte art and desire to teach other team members the basics of latte art is a must. Candidates should have sales experience, excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards. The position is a part time position with a minimum of 2-3 shifts a week required, with more shifts becoming available if desired.Responsibilities include making coffee beverages, cleaning and maintaining coffee station and related equipment, as well as creating new menu items in collaboration with management, and working with other team members to become more proficient at latte art. Assisting walk-in customers, answering the phone, packaging products, and setting up for daily sales, as well as collaborating with the kitchen team to meet daily business needs, heating of small food items, washing dishes from the day's service and cleaning the retail and customer areas. will also be required as needed. Candidates must be available for early morning shifts, and weekend shifts.Benefits of joining our team include hourly wage with tips, scheduled work evaluations, opportunities for advancement with pay increase, employee discount on products, paid vacation time after 1 year for full-time employees, paid sick leave, and paid disability benefits.
