Our client is a US-based contract manufacturing company that focuses on nutritional supplements for both people and pets. They are now looking for a Document Control Specialist .
Salary/Hourly Rate: $90k
Position Overview: The Document Control Specialist will drive compliance initiatives and oversee critical documentation workflows. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all regulatory submissions, product labeling, and quality records meet stringent standards set by the FDA, cGMP, and global regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in regulatory documentation, submission processes, and thrives in highly regulated environments.
Responsibilities of the Document Control Specialist: - Manage and organize SOPs, product dossiers, specifications, and safety data sheets.
- Ensure documentation aligns with FDA, NSF, cGMP, and other regulatory standards.
- Support regulatory filings, NDI submissions, and product registrations.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Operations to maintain accurate records.
- Oversee version control, approvals, and access within the document system.
- Review labels and marketing materials for regulatory compliance.
- Assist during audits and inspections by regulatory bodies and certifiers.
- Monitor regulatory updates and apply best practices to maintain compliance.
Required Experience/Skills for the Document Control Specialist: - 2 years of experience in regulatory affairs, document control, or quality compliance within Nutraceuticals, food, or pharma.
- Familiarity with FDA regulatory standards, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and labeling requirements for dietary supplements.
- Preferred experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS) for organizing and maintaining compliance records.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Document Control Specialist: Education Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in a related field (Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, etc.).
