Overview Join to apply for the Government Consultant Project Manager (PMO) role at Mercer . This role can be based in Phoenix, DC, or Louisville and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. As a Government Consultant Project Manager , you will manage complex projects and collaborate across levels and specialty groups to ensure the project is completed with a high level of client satisfaction, as well as on time and within budget and scope. Mercer’s Government Human Services Consulting (GHSC) practice focuses on the needs of the public health care sector, providing consulting services to local, state, and federal government agencies across the country. We will count on you to: Manage complex, broad, and/or multi-year projects from end-to-end to deliver business outcomes, ensuring on-time delivery, staying within budget, and achieving a high level of client satisfaction. Work on high-visibility projects and regularly interface with internal senior management; identify subject matter experts for the project(s). Build and maintain effective relationships with senior business leadership. Become a trusted advisor and help facilitate timely decision making and trade-offs throughout all project stages. Negotiate resource requirements with responsible management when facing conflicts in priorities. What you need to have BA/BS degree 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare/managed care Proven ability to drive moderately complex projects to completion Strong stakeholder management and communications skills Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment Ability to work independently and on a team; ability to partner and lead teams to deliver project objectives Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with Smartsheet What makes you stand out Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Experience managing Medicaid or Managed Care projects State Medicaid experience Experience with External Quality Review Organization (EQRO) Why join our team We support professional development opportunities, engaging work, and supportive leaders. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
