Location: UCHealth UCHlth Eye Center AMC, US:CO:Aurora

Department: UCHealth Eye Center Anschutz

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary: Operates specialized ophthalmic equipment. Performs ophthalmic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Under the direct supervision of the eye care provider, assists with performing patient care.
  • Under the direction and supervision of an eye care provider: Performs diagnostic testing. Administers intravenous agents in preparation for retinal angiography. Performs clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area. Provides education to students, residents and staff; assists in orienting and mentoring staff.
  • Provides documentation, patient education and enters charges.
  • Manages patient care and assists with patient flow.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree. Equivalent vocational training will be considered.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
  • Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) within two years of hire.
  • IV certification within 6 months of hire (tracked by the unit).
  • 1 year of related ophthalmic photography/angiography experience or vocational training.
  • Preferred: 3 years of related ophthalmic photography/angiography experience.
