Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith (Galloway) is a Gulf South regional insurance defense firm with 13 offices. Its Mandeville, Louisiana office is nestled in The Sanctuary’s trees and teamwork is at the heart of its brand.

We handle litigation matters across various practice areas and provide solution-oriented, legal services. As a Paralegal, you will learn about our clients’ industries, investigate claims, and help build successful outcomes.

2. Requirements

To be considered for this role, here are the skills we’re looking for:

• 2 years comparable experience preferred (litigation defense firm)
• team player – ability to coordinate with co-workers
• billable time/timekeeper – familiarity with Orion and NetDocs a plus
• focused – gets the job done
• positive communicator - shapes a message in a clear and concise way
• knows how to e-file in state and federal courts
• knows how to draft and process subpoenas and authorizations
• proofs correspondence and pleadings

3. Responsibilities

• Paralegal duties
• Timekeeping 
• Assisting lawyers and working with legal assistants on various tasks
• Accomplish tasks without constant reminders
