Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma and four years in the transportation industry. Two years of college may substitute for up to two years of required experience. Intermediate computer skills required (Trapeze and Microsoft experience preferred). Previous supervisory experience a plus.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS: Monitor safe driving habits and on-time performance of van operators. Assure all van operators follow safety procedures by performing follow-up observations of all dangerous and unsafe situations. Prepare and issue van operator performance evaluations, road checks and disciplinary action. Facilitate problem solving by conducting follow-up investigations of complaints. Supervisor assists with accident/incident investigation. Proceeds to the scene and obtains and records complete, pertinent information. Assist with the scheduling of driver’s shifts. Assist the maintenance department by changing out buses and trouble-shooting radios, MDT's and video cameras. Assists with some aspects of Operator's training.
