Plant Health Care Manager | Allied Resources Technical Consultants

About the Position:

Allied Resources is looking for an Plant Health Care Manager for a Full-time opportunity with a local family owned business. This position provides an excellent compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and PTO.

Job Responsibilities:

• Hire, train, and manage PHC department staff.
• Schedule jobs with customers and maintain own route for applying products and servicing sites.
• Conduct daily PHC meetings to review issues, diseases, and insects; distribute and adjust routes based on weather and crew areas to maintain client rapport.
• Monitor crews in the field daily, verifying tank levels, chemical usage, safety compliance, and proper documentation.
• Ensure tanks are filled, chemicals identified, and crews prepared each morning; maintain yard cleanliness and equipment readiness at day’s end.
• Track weather and wind conditions, adjusting schedules, calling off crews, and rescheduling services when needed.
• Check in with PHC technicians at the end of the day to review field issues, confirm paperwork, and ensure records align with computer entries.
• Follow up on treatments to confirm effectiveness and promptly address client or neighbor concerns.
• Track crew productivity, including Saturday work when required, and communicate time constraints for completing jobs.
• Verify water systems are properly managed (tanks filled, water shut off/on as needed, proper channels notified).

Qualifications:

• Certified Pesticide Applicator’s License and valid driver’s license with ability to drive and tow a trailer; MO Commercial Pesticide Applicator’s License required.
• ISA Certified Arborist License (or ability to obtain within first year).
• 3–5 years of Plant Health Care experience (arboriculture, entomology, nursery, landscape design, forestry) with supervisory or team leadership background.
• 3–5 years of management experience with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Expertise in insect and disease management, tree and shrub identification, and plant diagnostics.
• Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM), chemical mixing procedures, and application methods using tankers, pumps, spreaders, and injection systems.
• Ability to operate and maintain trucks, pumps, spray equipment, and related tools.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Physically able to work in varied weather conditions; regularly lift/move 75+ lbs, climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, and complete required paperwork.
