The Vermont Developmental Disabilities Services Division is seeking a Developmental Disabilities Quality Management Reviewer. This position requires extensive interaction with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, state agencies, community service providers, and other organizations. Primary responsibilities include quality assurance and quality improvement work, technical assistance and monitoring of developmental disability services for adults and transition age youth. Much of the work will be done in the community, observing and interacting with individuals and the people that support them. The position will be part of a regional team performing on-site quality assurance and quality improvement reviews of the community providers in that region of the state.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities, knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations relating to disability and elder issues is preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Work is performed both in a standard office setting and in the field for which private means of transportation should be available. Incumbents are subject to a variety of stressful situations while evaluating and improving support services for people with disabilities. Some work outside of normal office hours may be required.
Master's degree in the broad field of human services or public administration AND BOTH two (2) years or more of experience at a professional level in a human services program INCLUDING the administration of services to people with disabilities or older adults AND two (2) years or more of experience with Medicaid programs administration.
OR
Bachelor's degree in the broad field of human services or public administration AND BOTH four (4) years or more of experience at a professional level in a human services program INCLUDING two (2) years or more in the administration of services to people with disabilities, or older adults AND two (2) years or more of experience with Medicaid programs administration.
OR
Eight (8) years or more at a professional level in a human services program INCLUDING two (2) years or more in the administration of services to people with disabilities, or older adults AND two (2) years or more of experience with Medicaid programs administration.
Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
