POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Seasonal Parking Associate, you will be essential in managing parking, traffic, and shuttle services. Your responsibilities include directing vehicles to parking spots, ensuring smooth traffic flow, and assisting guests and employees in a friendly and helpful manner.

Familiarity with the resort and the surrounding area is a plus, as is experience in high-volume public interaction. Candidates should be physically fit and ready to work in cold temperatures.

WAGE: Hourly pay ranges from $23 to $25. Actual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Direct vehicles into parking spaces and maintain smooth traffic flow.
  • Assist vehicles and pedestrians in designated drop-off zones.
  • Set up and take down signs and cones, performing maintenance as needed.
  • Help guests load and unload shuttle buses, guiding them safely to facilities.
  • Monitor pedestrian traffic and ensure safety.
  • Stay alert for vehicle, pedestrian, and equipment hazards.
  • Report and address any unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate equipment.
  • Manage incidents involving public or employee accidents as required.
  • Provide directions and assistance to guests in a positive manner.
  • Drive resort vehicles if qualified.
  • Support grounds crew with snow removal and other tasks as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness in parking areas and transportation zones.
  • Oversee special event or VIP parking arrangements.
  • Provide assistance during emergency evacuations and coordinate with law enforcement or ski patrol.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be approachable, friendly, and eager to assist guests.
  • Enjoy working outdoors in fast-paced environments.
  • Maintain composure and service during high guest volume.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
  • Familiarity with Winter Park Resort and local services desirable.
  • Prior experience in public-facing roles is beneficial.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to stand, bend, and walk for the duration of the shift.
  • Capable of using a shovel to clear snow around signage.
