Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 school in Columbia, SC, is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter for a contract position during the current school year. This role provides essential munication support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, ensuring equal access to instruction and school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clear and accurate sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, school events, and related activities.
• Facilitate effective munication between students, teachers, and staff.
• Adapt interpreting techniques to support a variety of educational settings.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to promote inclusive learning environments.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Experience interpreting in educational settings, preferably K-12.
