What You’ll Do

As a Trainer & Safety Specialist , you’ll combine your years of operations and training experience with advanced simulator technology to prepare the next generation of operators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate & Manage Simulators
  • Deliver hands-on training with CM Labs heavy equipment simulators , creating realistic training scenarios.
  • Guide candidates through experiences, providing instruction, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and ensure simulator readiness.
  • GPS Training & Precision Operations
  • Train candidates using Trimble GPS simulators for navigation and precision equipment operations.
  • Translate GPS data into effective real-world strategies.
  • Ensure training objectives align with actual field applications.
  • Safety & Compliance Training
  • Conduct OSHA-compliant safety training across construction and general industry.
  • Support company safety initiatives, audits, and compliance standards.
  • Mentor trainees on safe operating practices, workplace hazards, and risk prevention.
  • Training Coordination & Reporting
  • Schedule and coordinate candidate sessions and training calendars.
  • Track trainee progress, maintain detailed logs, and share performance reports.
  • Analyze data for adequate reporting and identify growth areas.
  • Client & Program Management
  • Collaborate with supervisors and program leads to maximize training flow.
  • Maintain strong client and trainee relationships through effective communication.
  • Draft and support grant proposals, program documentation, and technical reports.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in operations, safety, or training roles
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operations and GPS technology
  • Strong background in safety training, customer relations, and data analysis
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
  • Passion for teaching, mentoring, and hands-on learning

Certifications & Achievements

  • OSHA Authorized Trainer – Construction & General Industry
  • Manager of Environmental, Safety & Health (MESH)
  • Certified Heavy Equipment Operator
  • Class A CDL
  • Adult First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Opacity Reading Certificate

Work Environment

  • Primarily indoor work in a training facility with extended simulator operation
  • Occasional lifting or equipment setup (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Flexible scheduling, including evenings or weekends as training requires
