We protect all of Amazon's businesses, services, sellers, and customers from fraud and abuse. Amazon.com's Buyer Risk Prevention (BRP) team is a centralized technology team that works seamlessly across the billions of transactions occurring simultaneously around the world to identify and thwart threats against our systems. We are pioneering new techniques to detect and stop bad actors that attempt to abuse our policies.

BRP designs and builds high performance software systems using machine learning to identify and prevent abusive transactions. Abuse prevention is a real money game where our software teams strive to outsmart those who attempt to defraud Amazon and our customers. Come build with us! BRP is seeking an innovative, results-oriented, customer-centric Senior Product Manager - Tech to drive expansion of innovative products in the Buyer Abuse space. In this role you will analyze customer and financial implications and work closely with business and technical partners to launch new programs and features globally.

A successful candidate will be expected to own and deliver our goals in partnership with business, software, science, and operational teams. He or she will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented, and have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. He or she will have a proven track record of taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. He or she must have a passion for breaking down complex problems, understanding customer needs and delivering holistic solutions through continuous improvement.

Key job responsibilities

- Have the ability to work independently in a broad array of environments
- Manage cross-functional project teams, planning and organizing, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders
- Collaborate with product, design, business, and engineering on roadmap prioritization
- Build cross-team mechanisms for communicating program priorities and receiving input from senior leaders
- Articulate program goals, desired outcomes, risks/issues, and mitigation plan clearly
- Support and enhance existing products with thoughtful and measurable impact

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
