Role The Import or Export Coordinator is responsible for managing air or ocean import/export files, ensuring compliance with guidelines, preparing quotes, and providing customer service. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Handle daily air or ocean import/export shipments. Pre-alert agents and shippers; organize and prepare documentation; follow up with steamship lines; maintain daily reports on pending shipments. Ensure all required documents are received and send final documents as needed. File relevant documentation to process shipments. Arrange pickups, deliveries, and container loading as required. Maintain customer service updates, including cargo tracking. Set up billing and payables. Perform other duties as assigned. Desired Skills and Expertise: Commitment to excellent customer service with effective communication and follow-up skills. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team or independently with minimal supervision. Practical problem-solving and decision-making skills. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED minimum. At least 2 years of experience in international freight forwarding logistics operations.
