Job Description

Growing construction company seeking to hire a self-driven Carpenter Foreman who will be responsible to work closely with site superintendents and/or Project managers to perform daily carpenter tasks as needed and ensure projects are on time and within budget. Must have knowledge and ability to self-perform various divisions of work as required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Project Managers and/or Project Superintendents to ensure the field is coordinated with the construction plan as developed by the Project Manager and that schedule, cost and quality expectations are met.
• Establishes and maintains strong, collaborative relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and owners.
• Serves as the onsite Safety Lead/ Coordinator providing guidance for safety expectations of the project teams. Responsible for reviewing specific safety plans, periodic safety inspections.
• Coordinates construction services and activities with subcontractors and vendors and leads subcontractors and team in field activities.
• Documents daily project activities.
• Responsible for monitoring and managing punch lists through construction completion
• Perform daily carpenter tasks as needed to complete projects

Experience and Skills

• Demonstrated leadership abilities along with an open and willing attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written).
• Establishes collaborative relationships with internal as well as external stakeholders.
• Excellent technical skills, proficient in reading, understanding, and applying blueprints and job specifications as well as safety knowledge and skills.
• Basic computer skills
• Set hollow metal frames/pre-hung door units
• Hang doors & install door hardware
• Erect, assemble, and install framing
• Installs interior and exterior trim, cabinetry, and wood blocking
• Small concrete pours
• Perform other construction activities necessary to complete project
• Perform demolition work if necessary
• Install bathroom accessories
• Wood & metal stud framing
• General project cleanup
• Valid driver's license and transportation

Work Location

Primarily serving the South-Central PA market with flexibility to travel to surrounding states as necessary. (NJ, NY, MD, VA, etc.)

Travel may be required at times as jobs necessitate
