This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for software development to contribute to the development of innovative engineering solutions. As a Junior Developer, you will work closely with senior developers, engineers, and other team members to assist with the design, coding, testing, and maintenance of software applications and systems. Key Responsibilities Software Development & Coding: Assist in the development of new features and functionality for web and desktop applications. Assist in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues and bugs. Follow best practices in coding standards and version control (using tools like Git). Collaborating with Development Team: Work closely with senior developers and engineers to understand project requirements and assist with the software design and development process. Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members to ensure that the codebase is robust and maintainable. Learn and contribute to the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including gathering requirements, coding, testing, and deployment. Testing & Quality Assurance: Assist in the development and execution of unit tests and automated tests to ensure software functionality and performance. Identify and resolve issues found during the testing process. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure software meets quality standards and specifications. Maintenance & Support: Help with the ongoing maintenance of existing software systems, including addressing performance issues, implementing updates, and ensuring compatibility with new technologies. Provide support for existing applications, including debugging and providing solutions to user-reported issues. Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of development work, including code documentation, technical specifications, and system requirements. Assist in creating user manuals and technical documentation to support software releases. Learning & Development: Stay updated with emerging technologies, programming languages, and industry trends. Participate in training and development programs to improve technical skills and knowledge. Qualifications and Skills Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience : Entry-level experience or internship in software development or related roles is preferred but not required. Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.). Experience with web development frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Django, is a plus. Technical Skills : Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Knowledge of databases and SQL, experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases is a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, or third-party integrations is a bonus. Problem-Solving : Strong analytical skills with the ability to approach challenges methodically and creatively. Communication Skills : Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members. Attention to Detail : A keen eye for detail to ensure that the software developed is robust and free from issues. Team-Oriented : Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently when needed. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with back-end frameworks like Node.js, Django, or .NET. Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
