The ideal candidate will successfully deliver accurate, profitable estimates for Paul Davis Restoration of Greater

Baltimore. The Estimator will estimate residential, institutional and commercial projects

throughout the Baltimore area and surrounding counties. You will be responsible for scoping,

sketching and estimating a project and communicating with the insured and the insurance

adjuster. Knowledge of construction and insurance terminology is necessary. Must be able to

deliver exceptional customer service to homeowners, insurance partners, facility managers and

property managers.

• Photograph and accurately document site conditions and specifications as needed.
• Produce comprehensive and clear work scopes
• Obtain subcontractor pricing for various project phases as needed
• Obtain materials pricing as needed
• Submit Pricing Feedback
• Negotiate with insurance adjusters to resolve scope and pricing differences
• Develop budget that ensures profit objectives are met
• Effectively interface with project managers to provide supplements, change orders, and preliminary estimates.
• Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures
• Understand and follow Service Level Agreement (SLA) guidelines.
• Proficient in the use of Xactimate and Xactanalysis, Claims Connect and Mobile Claims, RMS (Restoration Management Software), Matterport, Hover, Eagle View, Microsoft Softwares (Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint etc.)
• Periodic emergency on-call duty required (Initial Loss Calls with customers and dispatching mitigation technicians.)
• Participates in the collections process by obtaining information from the adjuster of how approved funds are released.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in residential and commercial construction

· Proficient with Xactimate and/or Claims Connect estimating software preferred

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

· Critical thinking, analytical, organizational skills, negotiation, problem-solving and relationship building

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

· Ability to work office equipment (scanner, printer, phone system, computers)

· Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face
