Salary:

Structural Steel Detailer

Salary Range: $60-110K

Location: Bradenton, FL - can offer relocation assistance

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Steel Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel detailing, 3D modeling, and collaboration across multiple project disciplines. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless communication between engineers, fabricators, and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaboration: Work closely with structural engineers, architects, and MEP disciplines to resolve design issues and coordinate project details.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve discrepancies, conflicts, and design clashes during the detailing process.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure all models and drawings comply with applicable building codes, AISC standards, and project specifications.
• Updates & Revisions: Incorporate design changes into drawings and models with precision and efficiency.
• CAD Proficiency: Utilize advanced 3D modeling and detailing software to produce accurate shop and erection drawings.
• Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret structural blueprints and technical specifications to create precise detailing outputs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 2+ ears of experience. 5+years preferred.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D modeling/drafting software (Tekla, SDS/2, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to clearly communicate with engineers, fabricators, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Knowledge of building codes, AISC standards, and structural steel practices.
