Job Title: Med Surg Orthopedics RN - 12H Night Shift

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med Surg Orthopedics Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-hour night shift position. This opportunity focuses on a balanced caseload of 60% orthopedic patients and 40% general medical patients. As part of our healthcare team, you will deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the well-being and recovery of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med Surg patients, with an emphasis on orthopedic cases.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Conduct patient assessments and document relevant health information.
• Ensure compliance with best practices and safety standards in all nursing procedures.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience in a Med Surg or Orthopedic setting.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Travel nursing experience is essential.
• Experience in a teaching hospital is preferred.
• A valid Virginia license or Compact License is required at the time of submission.
• Availability to work 2 of the 3 holidays and 2-3 weekends per month based on unit needs.
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application.

Additional Information:

• Night shift assignments are 12 hours and conclude on Saturdays.
• Orientations occur every other week on Mondays.
• This position has a start date of October 20.
